Travel Clinic

Are you planning to travel to a foreign country? Do your thoughts turn to spectacular scenery, exotic foods and the opportunity to experience another culture? Are there worries about diseases, insects and water safety?

Travellers overseas have up to a 50% change of suffering a travel related illness. By following some preventative behaviours and having appropriate vaccinations as well as taking some medications in case of illness most travellers can avoid travel related health problems.

Asia, Africa, South America and other developing countries have specific risks. If you plan to stay abroad for more than 1 month, spending a good deal of time with the locals, visiting relatives, or eating/sleeping/camping in rural areas, you are at an even higher risk.

Come in to your local Travel Clinics Australia branch at the Panaceum for personalised advice to best protect your health overseas. Some vaccinations require a course of injection over several weeks or months, so it is important to contact the Travel Clinic well before you travel. It is recommended you call us 6-8 weeks prior to your planned departure.

We are also an accredited Yellow Fever vaccination centre and stock all vaccines required. We also stock a range of other travel items and medications including malaria prophylaxis, gastro kits, medical first aid kits and permethrin impregnated mosquito nets.
Enjoy your travel knowing you have done as much as possible to avoid travel related health issues.
