Shavaughn Baynton – Exercise Physiologist

Accredited

I have a special interest in neurological and metabolic conditions, and I believe very firmly in using an individually tailored approach to every single client that I see. I also enjoy providing my clients with the information, knowledge and behavioural change strategies that they need to successfully engage in a healthier and more physically active lifestyle.

I am currently completing my master’s degree by research in exercise science at Murdoch University. My project focuses on the delivery of an internet-based exercise program using telehealth to Australians nationwide living with multiple sclerosis, a chronic, autoimmune, neurological disease. This is an area of personal significance to me as I was diagnosed with MS at age 22. My motivation and passion for using exercise to improve the health of my patients stems from my own personal experience of using exercise to help me manage the disease, and I use my experiences of living with a chronic illness and my knowledge of physiology to help others to do the same.
