Richard Sykes

Having grown up in the Hills of Perth I moved to Geraldton in 2004. Having initially followed my Father into a career in Agriculture I spent 10 years with the Dept. of Ag and then varying other roles before taking on a State Manager role with a GPS company that provided autosteer and guidance solutions to agriculture. After this role I was given an opportunity to move into the financial sector and took on an Executive Relationship Manager position with the Commonwealth bank. After about a year was offered the opportunity to become the Regional Manager in Geraldton for the CBA and remained with the bank for around 4 years.

Having always had a keen interest in business the opportunity arose to take on this role with the Panaceum Group in 2012. It has been a fantastic challenge to date and I still look forward to work each day, ensuring that we as a group provide our patients, GPs and staff with the best possible service and environment. I am fortunate to have a great team of managers and staff and these will be the people that ensure that the Group can deliver on its Vision, “To be the leader in the health care industry through innovative, ethical and sustainable service provision”.

I am always happy to discuss how the Group can improve or provide addition services to Geraldton and the Midwest and will take the time with anyone that takes the time to provide us with feedback.

Outside of work I enjoy fishing, movies, getting together with friends and spending time with my 3 boys.

Louise Turner

General Manager – Group Operations

I am originally from the South East of England. Moved over with my husband in 2011 after travelling Europe, Asia and Australia, and settled on Geraldton to call home in 2012. Geraldton is the best place to be, and working for the Panaceum Group is exciting and challenging, and I get to meet a great bunch of people every day. I bring with me a whole mixed bag of expertise to do my role as Operations Manager, and it uses everything I know, from recruitment and human resources to running a ski chalet! Outside the exciting and busy world of the Panaceum Group, I try to take advantage of everything that Geraldton offers; surfing, four-wheel driving, fishing, running a local church youth group with my husband and running around with my dog Goofy. It is a great place to live and so a great place to serve as a Practice Manager. I am always looking at way to improve our service so my door is always open for suggestions.

I studied my Bachelor of Nursing at the University of Wollongong, NSW and have also completed a Graduate Certificate in Public Health with James Cook University, Townsville, QLD. I also hold a Diploma in Management and am a qualified Epilepsy Nurse providing specialised care plans for patients with Epilepsy.

I spent my couple of years as a Registered Nurse working in Alice Springs, before moving west to look at working as a remote area nurse, when I met my partner and found a much loved career change to Practice Nursing. I am a member of the Australian Nursing Federation and the Australian Primary Health Care Nurses Association, and have attended many professional conferences. I facilitate the local Nurse Network for Geraldton and actively participate in the Nursing Industry Skills Committee.

I have interests in Health Promotion and Chronic Disease Management and Travel Medicine. I am currently working towards extended skills and qualifications in Diabetes Management, Pap Smear Provider and Sexual Health education, Mantoux Testing. I conduct health assessments, Careplans and 4 year old children’s checks. I am a qualified child immuniser and enjoy every part of my job. I have over time developed a varied skill set and work in an environment that allows me to use all of these skills all of the time.

I love encouraging students to learn and challenge themselves and co-ordinate Enrolled and Registered Nursing students regularly at the Panaceum.

My aim as a manager at the Panaceum to provide support to the nursing staff to make the best clinical decisions that they can for our patients. I encourage a positive and open work environment, and aim to have all of the nurse’s skills and specialities recognised and used to provide the most appropriate care for our patients.

Renee Farr

Operations Manager – Panaceum Seacrest

I am originally from the Central West Region and spent most of my schooling and early adult years based in Geraldton. In 2004, I relocated to Perth where my husband and I raised our 3 children.

In 2014, we relocated from Perth back to Geraldton to be closer to our parents and extended family.

My working background has involved administrative roles in both the public and private sectors over my career.  I have been working in the private health sector for over 10 years now.

My role within the Panaceum Group initially started as a receptionist but, has evolved over time, to a managerial role.  I really enjoy the professionalism, compassion and dedication Panaceum Group have for providing great quality health services to Geraldton and the wider community.  Being a part of a company that really is at the forefront of providing health services in my opinion, is very exciting and brings great satisfaction to my role.

I’m committed to working alongside our team to ensure we provide the best possible quality service to our patients, team members and practitioners.  I am always happy to assist with any enquiries or suggestions and look forward to “Making Health Care Easy”.
