The University Medical Practice in the CBD of Geraldton has a small, friendly team of doctors and nurses, supported by an excellent administrative and reception team.
Our doctors and nurses provide the full range of general practice medical care including treatment of acute and chronic conditions, skin checks, childhood immunisations, minor surgery, travel advice and vaccinations, and sexual health checks. Visit our travel vaccination clinic.
As well as providing traditional family-based medical GP care we offer a full range of pre-employment and periodical medical health assessments by our doctors as well as Workers’ Compensation medical care.
The UMP doctors practice was established in February 2001 and is located in one of Geraldton’s grand buildings known as the Bill Sewell Complex. This beautiful complex has an interesting history, originally the site of a convict depot and later the Victoria District Hospital. The building was renovated to accommodate the doctors practice.

This provides many patients with easier access to specialists, without the time and expenses involved in travelling to Perth. Ask us for more information about this service.
Patient Care
We are committed to the best possible care of all patients. We strive to adhere to our appointment schedule at all times. Your patience is requested when circumstances are beyond our control. We welcome a phone call prior to your scheduled appointment time.
Teaching
This practice is actively involved in the teaching of medical and nursing students. If students are in-room with the GP, patients are informed prior to the consultation and given the right of refusal.
Continuity of Care
It is important to have a regular doctor to provide you with your ongoing medical care and who will record an understanding of your overall health needs. You will also feel more comfortable about discussing symptoms and concerns even if you feel they are trivial or embarrassing.
Accreditation
We are fully accredited with AGPAL.
