Life is about sharing happiness with family and friends. Independence and personal growth are required to pursue your goals and to fully participate in life and work. But to do that you need to look after your health, now and in the future. That’s where we come in. We have female and male doctors to help you enjoy life, take your worries away and support you in good and bad times.
Established in 1952, the Geraldton Medical Group has been serving the community for many years. You are more than welcome to visit one of our male or female GP’s.
We’re open from 8.00 am – 9.00 pm, Monday to Friday. Our Saturday morning clinic runs from 9.00 am – 12.00 pm. Contact us.
Bookings are made by appointment. We are located in the Panaceum building, at 233 Lester Avenue, in the CBD of Geraldton.
Routine appointments are for ten minutes. If you feel you need a longer appointment, please let the reception staff know this when booking the appointment. Your doctor may occasionally be delayed. You can always ring to know if your doctor is running on time. Please try not to be late for your appointment as this means other patients will also be subsequently delayed.
We are a private practice and we do not routinely bulk bill. If you elect to cancel your appointment, please do this at least 24 hours before your appointment, so that another patient may use that appointment. Late cancellations or missed appointments will incur a cancellation fee.
On call service during working days
Our practice has a doctor on call everyday. Therefore, any patient of this practice will be seen on the same day if the patient considers their problem to be urgent enough. If you are admitted into the SJOG hospital, your usual doctor will take over your care the next working day.
For urgent appointments we suggest that you make your appointment early in the morning (after 8 am) to ensure you get an appointment. If you cannot get an appointment, and you consider it important that you get medical aid the same day, please ask for one of our practice nurses.
The Geraldton After Hours GP Clinic

Video consultations
People in remote, regional and outer metropolitan areas of Australia have access to specialist video consultations under Medicare. This provides many patients with easier access to specialists, without the time and expenses involved in travelling to Perth. Ask us for more information about this service.
Medicare safety net
If you need to see a doctor or have tests regularly you could end up with high medical costs. The Medicare Safety Net is designed to help you when you need it most. Call Medicare for more information.
Personal information
All patients’ personal information is stored on computer with password access by your doctor. Hard copies of patient’s records are kept until the patient has reached the age of 25 or for a minimum of 7 years from the time of last contact with the patient, whichever is the longer. All personal files are stored away from public access or direct view, in a coded filing system approved by the RACGP.

You will find a pharmacy and pathology centre co-located at the Geraldton Medical Group in the Panaceum building.
