Having grown up in the Hills of Perth I moved to Geraldton in 2004. Having initially followed my Father into a career in Agriculture I spent 10 years with the Dept. of Ag and then varying other roles before taking on a State Manager role with a GPS company that provided autosteer and guidance solutions to agriculture. After this role I was given an opportunity to move into the financial sector and took on an Executive Relationship Manager position with the Commonwealth bank. After about a year was offered the opportunity to become the Regional Manager in Geraldton for the CBA and remained with the bank for around 4 years.
Having always had a keen interest in business the opportunity arose to take on this role with the Panaceum Group in 2012. It has been a fantastic challenge to date and I still look forward to work each day, ensuring that we as a group provide our patients, GPs and staff with the best possible service and environment. I am fortunate to have a great team of Managers and Staff and these will be the people that ensure that the Group can deliver on its Vision, “To be the leader in the health care industry through innovative, ethical and sustainable service provision”.
I am always happy to discuss how the Group can improve or provide addition services to Geraldton and the Midwest and will take the time with anyone that takes the time to provide us with feedback.
Outside of work I enjoy fishing, movies, getting together with friends and spending time with my 3 boys.
Business Development Manager
Originally from South Australia, I have worked with the Panaceum Group from Adelaide and have now relocated to Geraldton to take on the exciting opportunities working in this team offers. The great location and access to explore WA is just a bonus.
My background is as a Physiotherapist in the public sector before shifting into Accounting and Business Consulting for GP Practices. I have had a wide variety of experiences in the health industry, and am excited to be providing business consultancy from Panaceum Group.
I have observed Panaceum Group build from a small traditional GP Practice to the large, multi-disciplinary centre that brings specialist services to the Geraldton region. The Group is proactive in recruitment and business development which has resulted in an excellent health care service to the local community. We have a strong belief that by increasing independence away from the Medicare system, we can ensure the sustainability of primary health care in Australia.
I am committed to supporting health care centres around Australia to improve efficiencies and ensure the sustainability of services into the future. We aim to assist practices with diversification and provide the opportunity to build Industrial Health services and link with practices nationally.
Panaceum Group is committed to providing equitable health care to communities around Australia.
Operations Manager – Panaceum Group
I am originally from the South East of England. Moved over with my husband in 2011 after travelling Europe, Asia and Australia, and settled on Geraldton to call home in 2012. Geraldton is the best place to be, and working for the Panaceum group is exciting and challenging, and I get to meet a great bunch of people every day. I bring with me a whole mixed bag of expertise to do my role as Operations manager , and it uses everything I know, from recruitment and human resources to running a ski chalet ! Outside the exciting and busy world of the Panaceum Group, I try to take advantage of everything that Geraldton offers; surfing , four-wheel driving, fishing, running a local church youth group with my husband and running around with my dog Goofy. It is a great place to live and so a great place to serve as a practice manager. I am always looking at way to improve our service so my door is always open for suggestions.
My name is Amanda Lloyd and I am the Nursing Manager and Registered Nurse at the Panaceum Group. I studied my Bachelor of Nursing at the University of Wollongong, NSW and have also completed a Graduate Certificate in Public Health with James Cook University, Townsville, QLD. I also hold a DIploma in Management and am a qualified Epilepsy Nurse providing specialised care plans for patients with Epilepsy.
I spent my couple of years as a Registered Nurse working in Alice Springs, before moving west to look at working as a remote area nurse, when I met my partner and found a much loved career change to Practice Nursing. I am a member of the Australian Nursing Federation and the Australian Primary Health Care Nurses Association, and have attended many professional conferences. I facilitate the local Nurse Network for Geraldton and actively participate in the Nursing Industry Skills Committee.
I have interests in Health Promotion and Chronic Disease Management and Travel Medicine. I am currently working towards extended skills and qualifications in Diabetes Management, Pap Smear Provider and Sexual Health education, Mantoux Testing. I conduct health assessments, Careplans and 4 year old children’s checks. I am a qualified child immuniser and enjoy every part of my job. I have over time developed a varied skill set and work in an environment that allows me to use all of these skills all of the time.
I love encouraging students to learn and challenge themselves and co-ordinate Enrolled and Registered Nursing students regularly at the Panaceum.
My aim as a manager at the Panaceum to provide support to the nursing staff to make the best clinical decisions that they can for our patients. I encourage a positive and open work environment, and aim to have all of the nurse’s skills and specialities recognised and used to provide the most appropriate care for our patients.
My first employment was for an accounting firm in Geraldton as a junior accountant and then progressing to a senior accountant within 5 years. I was then given the opportunity after a small break to join the Panaceum Group as a part-time finance officer as well as bookkeeping for several businesses in town.
I first started working with the Panaceum Group in 2005, where I was looking for a more fulfilling employment role and flexibility while I started planning my little family. It has been the most challenging, but also the most rewarding opportunity that has been given to me. From the early days of working for 4 doctors in a one building practice in Shenton Street, to two buildings with ever-increasing doctors and to the super clinic that you see today with 2 practices, 3 departments and over 20 doctors.
Over the years I have met some truly inspiring and passionate people involved in the Health Care Industry, that have had an invaluable influence on the level of health care and services to patients. We as a group are always striving to deliver the best health care available to patients and welcome any feedback that is offered.
I love what Geraldton has to offer for my little family, from the beautiful beaches, walking, schools, the variety of sports and the laid back atmosphere.
Operations Manager, Allied and Industrial Health
I started life in Moora but have called a few places home over the years – Alice Springs, Mullewa and Yalgoo to name a few – but I am through and through a true Geraldton girl.
I grew up in a rural environment and spent all my school years in Geraldton. I am married to Michael and an immensely proud Mum to Son, Matthew & Daughter, Shannen and have now welcomed a grandson to the fold.
I have a working background in the legal sector, banking industry, retail management and most recently commercial & rural insurance. I bring a diverse range of experience to my role at the Panaceum Group.
I have had an association with the Panaceum as a patient since I was a child, and have watched on with great interest to see the Group develop into the impressive practice it is today. From a small group of GP’s the Panaceum Group has evolved to meet the diverse range of the Health needs for individuals, groups and businesses alike.
I hope to bring a positive and fresh perspective to my role and look forward to meeting all existing and future clients. I will gladly assist you with your Allied or Industrial Health needs and you will always find my door open.
